Performances within Our Community!
At Lyn’s Academy of Dance, we place a high value on providing our students with quality dance instruction, which includes an appreciation for the art of dance. Related community engagement projects are essential for forming a strong appreciation for dance within the studio and outside in the community + the world. We are grateful for our community connections, and are eager to form more! If you are interested in having our dancers perform at your organization, business, event, contact us via email at smulcahy@woh.rr.com with more information. We have performed at Senior Living Centers, community health expos, sporting events, community and school holiday events and programs, libraries, with the Lima Symphony Orchestra, at festivals, and more! We are flexible and can adapt to our routines to fit various places, stages, and events.

Very Special Arts/Arts Possible Ohio at Marimor School/Great Day Academy
Miss Gillian and Miss Lyn are teaching artists for Very Special Arts Ohio (VSAO), this is their 10th year of working with students from Marimor School. They partner with the classroom teacher to enhance teaching and learning through an arts integrated residence and curriculum. Funding for this program comes from the Ohio Department of Education. Its purpose is to provide learning in and through the arts for students of all abilities. By bringing together artists, classroom teachers, and students with and without disabilities there is a unique opportunity to experience the power of the arts to support student achievement, creativity, innovation, and effective teaching and learning.
Their year of teaching at Marimor is highlighted with a Christmas dance performance and a season ending performance at Veterans Memorial Civic Center in Lima.

ASCAP
ASCAP, or the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, is a membership organization that provides music licenses to dance studios to use their repertory of millions of songs. These licenses allow studios to play music in a variety of ways, including live, on CDs, or through other mediums, as often as they like for one annual fee. ASCAP licenses also protect studios from potential lawsuits for copyright infringement, which can result in damages ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars.
Team Julie Kay
Miss Lyn and staff are members of “Team Julie Kay.” Through this program they have access to professional development, networking forums, curriculums, and other resources for teachers and studio owners alike. This includes 1-on-1 coaching programs for Miss Lyn and staff with professionals of the highest caliber in the studio dance industry.
DiscoverDance
